i haven't touched the library on my site in a long time, i don't really browse around to find bytebeats. i guess i could scrape a bunch of places but then licensing / copyright is also dubious (i'm not actually sure if permission was granted for everything in the current library?).

i was thinking maybe we could decide on a standard library format that could be used in other places? if there's a standard format, it would be easier to automatically find issues (for example broken links like from botb), making new compatible library files would be easier, so large amount of additions could easily be added, i think there were some other benefits too but i can't remember exactly

i would be willing to work on a reasonable spec, port things, and help with tooling of course, i just don't think i can find new songs after that point
