To install the To-Do App on your local machine, follow these steps:
- Clone the repository from GitHub. Repo: https://github.com/SoummoSinghoRoy/todo-assessment.git
- Install Node.js, MongoDB and MongoDB Compass on your machine, if you haven't already. Or you can use
mongodb atlas
. And define yourcustom environment variable
. Must Followdefault.env
- Navigate to the project directory in your terminal.
- This project is divided by two sagement one is
client
and another isserver
. - Run
npm install
to install the project dependencies. - So you have to install dependencies in 2 steps.
- When you navigate this project in your terminal and use
npm install
. All server dependency will be installed first. - Next you have to install
client
dependency so you should have tonavigate client directory
then usenpm install
. - Run
npm start
to start the application. - Run
npm run dev
to start the dev server.
That's it! The To-Do App should now be running on your local machine.
