When bright display opens it sets the screen to max brightness.
This would be better as a setting, but is an understandable design choice.
However what isn't, is being unable to override this by setting the brightness again manually afterwards. Any manual changes made are immediately overridden.
Why is it constantly setting max brightness forever? It should do that at startup one time only.
Setting darker colors is ineffective due to the display being LCD. Even pure black is too bright since the backlight is forced to max.
This issue makes bright display pointless. When I actually do wish for more light the camera flash is a better choice. Bright display would be ideal for all the times where the torch is too bright, if it didn't force max brightness constantly.
