Do all the installation paths need to be in home ? I tried having them in a different directory (with the changes in the bash file) but it doesn't seem to compile.
Also can you explain how we can install inet4 as a shared object ?
My system is a ubuntu 18.04 and I have successfully installed OMNeT++.
Thank you

Hi, there is no restriction about the directory of installation; it could be HOME or any other as long as the paths are correctly set. I made a mistake about the shared object, I mean "static object" (.so). I update the README.md file to answer your question.
