Description:

When a team, channel, or direct message is open, clicking on the "Hide" option for the currently open item should close it. However, this is not happening as expected.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open a team, channel, or direct message from the left pane.
  2. Click on the three dots (more options) of the selected item (ensure the selected item is open on the right side).
  3. Click on "Hide."
  4. Observe whether the right-side panel also closes.

Expected Behavior:

  • The right-side panel should close when the selected item is hidden.

Actual Behavior:

Server/Client Information:

Server:

  • Operating System: Windows 11 (using WSL Terminal)
  • Rocket.Chat Server Version: 7.4.0-develop
  • Node.js Version: 22.11.0
  • Yarn Version: 4.6.0

Client:

Additional Information:

  • WSL Terminal: Used for installing dependencies.
