This is the importer with the most amount of work put into it, but it, and nearly every other BFRES importer hasn't been updated in years. I would like to develop this further, in fact I have done quite a bit, but legally I have no permission to use this code. This has been an extremely helpful starting point and I'd hope to be able to continue.

It's based on Syroot's io_scene_bfres, which is licensed MIT, however it has parts of botwtools which is licensed under GPL-3.0,

There is mentions of unlicensed code specifically in the bc module, but either the code could be replaced with code referencing aboood40091/BNTX-Editor/ (GPL-3.0) but the original developer of BnTxx is active and I believe you could also request a license from them

Hmm. I'd be fine with MIT or GPL, but I'm not sure what to do about bc. Is it enough to add a license with a note that it doesn't apply to that module, so you can replace it?

I think since parts of code are under GPL-3 the whole thing would have to be GPL-3 as well. I do agree that you could say all of the code is licensed except for the bc module. I'd be okay to put in the work to replace it

Okay, I hope I've done that properly.
