This library appears to have been unmaintained since ~2019, and is now several versions behind the rest of the Android ecosystem.
Since we depend on this library in our apps, we forked it to update the toolchain to the latest versions, make sure that all generated artifacts still build correctly, and the UI looks updated to match the most recent Material 3 theme.
Feel free to switch to this fork, it is API-compatible with the original (for now).

Since many previous pull requests for this repo are still pending, with no response from the maintainers, I have not yet opened any PRs for my changes, but if there is active interest, I am happy to contribute back.
