Trying to run image on AWS AppRunner

I'm a bit out of my depth here, but I'd like to try running PostgREST on AWS AppRunner, connected to Serverless Aurora.
I can run the Docker image locally and the connections are OK.
When I try to run the image on AppRunner, it just fails.
There is some error message to do with "Failed exec format".
From looking on stackoverflow, this is perhaps because there is no shell (a "#!/bin/bash" is advised).
I think I need to build a Docker image with a shell, possibly a script that runs postgrest.
Without expecting you to solve it all for me, am I on the right lines here?
I think I would make a docker-compose file as you suggest from Alpine Linux; that may in itself be sufficient.
Seems unlikely that nobody has done this already.

Ah. It seems my MacBook M1 client was the problem. I have made an x86 build and that runs.
It fails to connect to the RDS database, but at least I can see the logs.
