Adding mptsas driver for various LSI SAS controllers

I tried to use shredos to nuke some drives attached to a dell server with a SAS 6 adapter, but shredos doesn't appear to detect these controllers. These include the LSISAS1068E and its brethren. They're very common on olderish DELL rackmount servers. They are supported with the mptsas driver.

I've been running nwipe from the "All in One - System Rescue Toolkit (AiO-SRT)" distro which detects my controller, but it would be nice just to user shredos on its own. Any chance support could be added in the future?

Interesting, ShredOS includes mpt2sas and mpt3sas, however I think that Fusion_SAS is possibly the driver that needs to be enabled FUSION_SAS [=n] currently not installed. I'll enable this in the upcoming release. Certainly the 1068E is quoted in this LSI user guide LSI_LOGIC Fusion-MPT Device Management User Guide

I think your description makes sense. I've seen another USB utility refer to "mptsas" as it boots and assumed that was specifically it, but that might just be referring to any of the family of LSI SAS drivers (mpt2sas, mpt3sas, fusion). In any case, I'll check out the next release if the change manages to find its way in. For now I have a workaround. I'm very grateful for your reply in any case!
