No feedback when the backend session expires

When a person is logged into a project with a password,
And the session expires
Then the board behaves as normal,
Except that the "recommend pairs" button silently stops working.

Suggestions:

1. When the session expires, redirect to the authentication page
2. Or, keep displaying the board, but ask for authentication when a feature requiring backend functionality is triggered.
