Please download the AppImage instead and see if that works.

I tried out, but AppImage can't execute due to GLIBC version conflict

You might be out of luck running the latest OpenShot version 3.3.0 or 3.2.1 on Ubuntu 18. Any chance you can upgrade to a later version of Ubuntu?

I had to downgrade to version 3.2.1 from /var/cache/apt/archives the previous version that was installed just before update to 3.3.0

Sounds good. There are some known bugs in v3.2.1 that you might run into. If all the things you are doing works for you then great. If not, and the fix is in the later version then you might be out of luck. This is a very small project with very limited staff resources (being open source). Supporting older operating systems and multiple older versions of OpenShot is very challenging.

At some point you may/should upgrade your Ubuntu environment.

Good luck with your project(s).
