Question:
Is it possible to add an option to import a file with subtitles previously created? For example, srt, sbv, etc.

System Details:

  • OpenShot Version: v3.2.1
  • Operating System / Distro: Linux Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS

OpenShot is unable to do that natively. I am running Windows 11 and the way I accomplish this is that I use Subtitle Edit application to import my movie into it and then use one of the tools withing this application to extract/create captions. I then take the captions and copy them into the OpenShot Caption Editor.
