you can use this software for this. |

You can use the standard firmware and wire up the level shifter to the rx/tx pins to the board of your choice (you might need to change the bit rate). However when you run the stick in parallel with the stock one sometimes one of the sticks gets confused and does not receive any data. |

Hi there,
i would really like to use this project to retrieve data from my inverter using an ESP32 and integrate that data in my Homeassistant.
Since i want to use the stock ShineWiFi-X too i can't use my inverters USB Port to get the data from the inverter.
After some research i found a solution using a RS485 to TTL adapter to retrieve data from the inverter via its RS485 Port.
Because this is using Modbus communication too, i think it should be possible to add the option to use defined GPIO-Pins for retrieving/sending data that way (e.g. GPIO16 for RX and GPIO17 for TX). Having that option one would be able to use best of both worlds (use the default way to log data to the cloud and use an ESP32 to log locally and via MQTT). I'm currently running ESP-Home but i'd like to have a chart and the MQTT functionality implemented in this project.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Aezaekill
