With the latest fix by @pchelle example reports topics do not appear in the page navigation anymore - very nice.

Next question: web page navigation panel contains only 1 heading level, e.g. for pk parameters:

In the html-vignette installed with the package it looks like this (ALL headings are shown in the TOC)

Question: do we want that the web page show ALL heading levels same as the vignettes?
Or at least all headings of the next levels (2 or 3 levels)?

I think there are some options to add to the file _pkgdown.yml to manage the toc on the side bar.

  • toc_depth should handle the level of sub headings
  • toc_float should handle the current display

From the behaviour, I think {pkgdown} uses a default that correspond to :

toc_float:
   collapsed: true
   smooth_scroll: true
