Both should be possible at the same time, and the parameters should be selectable independently of each other.

Would this apply to each workflow type (pediatric, ratio and parallel ?)

Not sure I understand what is needed.
Do we need to create another set of y parameters for histograms independent from the x and y parameters from the range plots ?
