Hiding Windows 11 Start button?

Hi,

I've been using Open-Shell for ages on Windows 10. I've now been forced to move to Windows 11, and the Open-Shell icon appears to be super-imposed on the Windows 11 Start button / taskbar icons (which I've set to be left-aligned):

Am I correct in thinking that there's no way to hide the native Windows 11 start button?

There's discussions here (August 2023), and a comment in issue #911 from December 2022, saying it's not possible, that the only workaround is to have a sufficiently sized custom start button to obscure the Windows 11 one.

Is that still the case?

It works as intended for me on W11 24H2

Are you using the latest version?

Are you using ExplorerPatcher? I do. Had to switch around in settings quite a bit between OSm und EP to get to where I wanted it to be.
