V.buffer not found

I am setting up the software on my system however, on running v.buffer in the grass terminal a response "zsh: command not found: v.buffer" is received. I am not using the GUI, and looking to resolve this issue.

You need to provide more details. Are you on Mac? Are other command working? Are you running it in active GRASS session?
