Hi all,

When I check the schedule at dicomstandard website, it seems like DICOM-Labelmap is there. in 2024d?

Can we support DICOM-Labelmap, rather than DICOM-SEG? Or at least start to shift to Labelmap? Or did I misunderstand "final Text" and 2024d? Is DICOM-LabelMap not available yet?

Why should we prioritize this feature?

As mentioned in OHIF office hour, it will be huge improvement regarding segmentation for any image, especially for large image.

It should be possible to make examples now with highdicom: ImagingDataCommons/highdicom#234

@CPBridge let's share the test samples you created as part of IDC work for this purpose - O24-O28 in the inventory. I think those would be of general interest, and probably the best way to share those is to make a Zenodo entry, which we can organized under our nci-idc Zenodo community. What do you think?
