We have to options here:

  • We make the for loop parallel (a first test of this failed, since it looks like OGGM doesn't like that).
  • The best solution: we implement an entity task as Lily suggested in slack of that function.

Right now it's not a priority, but as soon as we scale up to a regional scale this will become mandatory.
