Hello everyone,
In Odoo 18, the native functionality already covers the use case that account_invoice_mass_sending was designed for. Specifically:

• The Send & Print wizard has been split into two parts:

  • account.move.send.wizard for sending a single invoice.
  • account.move.send.batch.wizard for sending multiple invoices.

• For single invoice sending (account.move.send.wizard), no queueing is needed.

• For batch sending (account.move.send.batch.wizard), Odoo 18 handles:

  • PDF generation batching with the param account.pdf_generation_batch to avoid memory issues (code ref).
  • Background processing using cron and retrigger to prevent performance or wkhtmltopdf issues (code ref, related PR).

==> Given these improvements, we propose not to migrate account_invoice_mass_sending to v18.
