Proposed new fields accepted:
• Was additional material excavated, which is not reported? (yes/no)
• NISP fish
• Taxa providing metric information (picklists: wild mammals, domestic mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles, fish. Tool tip: Taxa for which metric data are provided or discussed. For assessments this will be the potential for information rather than information recorded)
• Taxa providing butchery information (picklist and tooltip as above)
• Taxa providing pathology information (pick list and tooltip as above)
Other field decisions:
• ‘Provenance comments’ – remove
• ‘Condition comments’ – keep and see whether useful during testing period
• ‘Information recorded’ – keep, should include ’not known’
• ‘Sex data comments’ – remove, but reinstate if lots of relevant comments put into 'taxa comments'. Add to tip for taxon comments to describe presence of secondary sex characteristics. Metric criteria can be described in Metric data comments.
• Total NISP should be named ‘Total NISP includes sieved material’ Tool tip: this field is used to indicate if one or more of the recorded taxa is from sieving.
• Additional mammals present – rename as ‘Mammals present’.
• Additional birds present – rename as ‘Birds present’.
