Unexpected group delivery with user of the same name

OpenLDAP allows the creation of users and groups with the same name. In this case, for the domain default settings, the UI shows only users under the Addresses page; however, delivery to group members occurs.

Steps to reproduce

• Create user info
• Create group info with first.user and second.user as members
• Configure example.org domain, enable only Add user addresses from user domain
• Send a message to [email protected]

Expected behavior

The message is delivered to info user, reflecting the Addresses page.

Actual behavior

The message is delivered to members of info group.

If I enable the Add group addresses... checkbox in the domain settings, the Addresses page shows both the user and group info entries:
