I have made some transactions and uploaded some files from my computer A. Then I restored my wallet using the passphrase on computer B. On computer B I can see the transactions I did earlier. However I cannot see the files I uploaded. Under the Files section, it says "No files uploaded". Is this normal behaviour? Is there a way around?

This is normal behavior right now. Being able to restore files from a backup will be possible later this year and restoring just from the seed is one of our long-term goals on our roadmap.

Ok, thank you. “Restoring files from a backup” : this mean that if I would copy the wallet file from one computer to another, I could restore the files?
This will be a great addition. For now I would be scared to use SIA for archiving important files since if my computer died, the archived files would be lost even if I have backed up my wallet.

As far as I've been told, you are still able to restore files if you back up your whole siad directory (but without your backup files). IE you need more than just the wallet. There are certain files you don't need (like probably the consensus) but since it's only about 8-12 GB, I'm waiting until an official installation siad backup tool comes out.

You probably want to do the backup while siad is shut down just to be safe.

I see, then it is fine :-)
