UI not popping up

I used to use this app with no issues while running it for a different game, just came back to it and not I cannot get the UI to pop up when trying to create a macro. I'm running mumuplayer (android emulator) as I'm an apple user, and have the device set currently as a galaxy s 10 plus (I have tried several other manufacturers and device models but no change). Upon loading the app I have granted overlay permission and accessibility permission but when I click start on the scenario I am just taken back to the homescreen and there is no UI that pops up.

I saw some accessibility issues other people have had and tried to see if that might be the issue but under app settings i have no option to go into advanced settings. If this is likely the issue, is there another way to get into the advanced settings? I tried looking thru closed discussions but failed to find a similar issue with not having the advanced settings option
