In our cross-section subdivision routine, we currently use the high water flows and SRCs to lookup an estimate of "bankfull" to use as a height to divide the SRCs into in-channel and overbank components. There's an opportunity to use the transects created by the HydroFabric team to compute bankfull heights closer to reality. The current idea is to use the inflection points identified in this dataset to sample the REMs and calculate an average bankfull height at which we can divide the SRC for each HAND catchment.
@anguswg-ucsb is the contact on the HydroFabric team for more information on the datasets. He's going to provide us with an example query of how pull the right points out of the transects.

I looked at two different VPUs (01 and 17). There is a classification issue with most of the transects I examined, which can lead to inaccurate results in selecting the inflection points. This issue originates from the original dataset, as the channel class extends to the banks. Additionally, there are transects where the CS extent is smaller than the stream. Below are some examples.
