In other words, maybe the activity 1 example should have a bit of biology in it. The binary image could be an advanced activity to explore more technically what is actually going on. |
That is a good point. Maybe we can take the image from the mean-module and add some salt&pepper noise? |
There are a bunch of example images mentioned in the activity: does one of them work? Otherwise feel free to add another one! |
This one might be good. It is closer to reality but one can still cover the more theoretical parts. |
Yes, I thought this is the one we use for the Fiji implementation of the activity. Even better would be something that contains some actual biological objects.... |

I feel doing the activity on the binary image may be a bit too technical.
I feel using one of the gray scale example images with a bit of noise might be more accessible for beginners as it may be easier to related the image to some biological sample.
But I am not sure.
