Hi @dgtlntv, sorry for the delay in response. Technically, the standard sRGB conversion is not APCA, for a few reasons such as pre-shaping. However, I don't want to hinder experimentation. Others have been trying to merge APCA and OKLAB, and we will be presenting something in the future here as well. It's okay to use a different input module for experimental purposes, so long as you don't claim to be APCA compatible. The APCA sRGB conversion does some pre-shaping, and importantly, the next iteration will incorporate the protan compensator which does not use the standard sRGB conversion at all, as the compensator package works on the individual R G B components. |

Hi. From the integration conformance document, I wasn't entirely clear if it is necessary to use the srgb to y conversion provided by APCA or not?
I'm working on something to find colors based on a given APCA contrast and then convert the y value to an OkHSL brightness value using the function provided in this blog post, and I was wondering if that would be considered a violation of the APCA license?
