Request: Provide ARM64 Build for Linux/Debian #1016
Comments
We already provide builds for Raspian ARM64.
True that there are more and more ARM64 servers... I enabled ARM64 on the build farm, let's see... |
I don't see 12 (Bookworm)
Thanks, let's see.. |
@g-maxime Raspian 12 is on https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:MediaArea_net/MediaInfo but not on our download page, please check. |
We have now ARM support for Windows (64-bit), macOS (64-bit), iOS (64-bit), Android (32/64-bit), Debian 11/12 (64-bit), Ubuntu 24.04/24.10 (64-bit), Raspbian 10/11/12 (32/64-bit), RHEL/CentOS/RockyLinux 8/9 (64-bit), Fedora 40/41 (64-bit), it should be enough :). |
Hello,
Thank you for maintaining and developing MediaInfo—it’s an incredibly useful tool for media analysis. I would like to request the addition of ARM64 builds for Linux/Debian platforms to the official releases.
With the increasing use of ARM64-based systems, such as Raspberry Pi, ARM servers, and other low-power devices, there is a growing demand for MediaInfo to support these architectures natively. While ARM64 users can compile from source, having official binaries would greatly simplify installation and usage.
Include ARM64 builds in the official repository and static binary distributions.
This will simplify installation for users, especially those running lightweight servers on ARM hardware.
Thank you for considering this request!
