Hello! I’d like to request a new feature that would allow automatic acceptance of files without the need to manually confirm them on the computer. This would significantly improve usability, especially in trusted environments like a home network.
Feature Description:
Automatically accept files: Enable the computer to automatically accept files sent via the Google QuickShare protocol, without requiring manual confirmation.
Known devices filter: Add an option to restrict automatic acceptance to known devices, possibly identified through the QuickShare protocol.
Trusted Wi-Fi networks: Optionally, limit this functionality to trusted Wi-Fi networks. The user could configure which networks are considered safe (e.g., home Wi-Fi).
Security warning: Display a warning to inform users that this feature may not be suitable for public or untrusted networks, due to potential security risks.
Reasoning:
I would primarily use this feature on my local home network, where I know that only family members will send files. I understand that automatic acceptance in public networks could pose a security risk, but with proper filtering (known devices and networks), this would be a great improvement. A similar feature was available in the NearDrop Plus application, but it hasn’t been updated for a long time.
Thank you for considering this request!

Hi @Martichou , is there any update on this? It doesn't need to be a complex feature (with google account check like in the original quickshare app), however it would be very useful for me if I had an option in the setting to just accept files from a certain device or if that's to hard to implement than I would also be fine with just an option to accept all incomming files. I think that would be a great (at least temporary) solution.
