I have the same issue at Fedora 30 with LXQt 0.14.1 - unreadable characters in Open file dialog

Branch: lighttable-0.8.1-linux (downloaded from https://github.com/LightTable/LightTable/releases/download/0.8.1/lighttable-0.8.1-linux.tar.gz)
To Reproduce:

1. download and extract Light Table, open contained folder
2. run Light Table e.g. $ ./light
3. go to menu File > Open file
4. result is attached (screen_-2019-09-26)

Desktop:

• Fedora 30 with LXQt 0.14.1
• default browser Firefox 69.0.1, installed Chromium 76.0.3809.132
