About once every 2 or 3 months, someone comes back saying they like this website but need a PDF version.
There are, and always have been, ways to download the PDF version. Initially it was just the one button at the bottom, and then I added one to the sticky App Bar as well. While adding the App Bar download button did reduce this confusion, it didn't reduce it by the amount I expected.
Perhaps people ignore the app bar because it's pinned to the top and opaque; the content goes under it so it's like it's not even there. Also, perhaps people don't scroll far enough down to see the plethora of buttons at the bottom, so it doesn't matter how big-and-fancy that download button is because it's not consistently reached.
I would imagine a FAB would stand out more because it floats atop the content, so I'd like to try that next.
