Feature: Allow user to pause if something comes up

The feature you want, describe where, how ?
Yes I understand that the purpose of the pomodoro is uninterrupted work but with 50 minute POMs sometimes I realize I really need to eat food in the middle of the POM and don't want to lose the time invested so far.

A pause feature with potentially a nag dialog to say "pausing isn't ideal" if you would like would be very helpful to me.

Seems like it would be relatively low work to implement though it would need a new button, some different business logic and pausing the menu icon from progressing.

PS: Thanks very much for such a useful and fun to use tool!

I didn't want to add this feature but you're right ! It's more frustrating and it shouldn't be.
What do you think if we enable the "pause" feature only when the work time is superior than 30min ?

I will definitely add this ! I need to find time to work on this side project (it needs some refactoring too)
