🐛Unable to send formatted messages to participants due to inaccurate character count restriction #884

Describe the bug
A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

We were unable to send messages to attendees, even though the messages were well under the 3000 character limit, if those messages contains formatting, like font sizes and links.

I have re-tested this. I have a document where I selected(according to Google Docs word count tool 2450 characters) and put it into a message to the participants of my test event.

When I paste this text into the message editor in Hi.Events and try to send, I get this error.

Note: I intentially used a message with formatting in it. (various font sizes and links)
Note: If I strip out the formatting, I can send this message no problem.

It seems to me that the formatting is confusing the character counter and causing this error.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create an event
  2. Add some attendees
  3. Paste a formatted message into the message tool in Hi.Events.
  4. See inaccurate error message when trying to sent.

Expected behavior
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

I am not sure if Hi.Events is unable to send formatted messages, but this doesn't seem unreasonable.

Hi.Events Version and platform
Please state the version of Hi.Events you are using and what platform it is hosted on. Local, Docker etc.

I have only been able to test this on our own deplyment of Hi.Events, which was deplyed in October.
