A plaque dedicated to the "Confederate Frontiersman Who Occupied Arizona Territory, C.S.A., Created by President Jefferson Davis" and donated/erected by the Children of the Confederacy and United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1984, was taken down and disposed of on June 28, 2020. "BLM" was spray-painted at the base of the tower the plaque had been attached to.
