How to handle / store images used for the "overview" section ? #3708

For context please see #3685 (comment).

Currently we use images stored in _static for the "overview" section of the PyGMT documentation. However this files are quite large (#3685 (comment)). Solutions can be:

  • Upload the static images into the comment box, and then GitHub will store them for us.
  • Create a separate github repository to store these static images.
