Sorry, I lost the U/P for the Self Service Catalog app. If it’s still a single one, can someone Fugacious it at me? Alternatively, what’s the plan for the future?

Will shoot you the creds shortly. The longer term plan is to have this tied to your ENT creds. They've got an issue open to troubleshoot an error they ae seeing before they turn that on for the masses.

Is the username/password combo (that the Self Service app asks me for) my GSA U/P? Or a dedicated one? I can't access it... Software catalog is on the left...

Or maybe those are just links...

[May 10]
TBH, I haven't spent any time with this App yet.

[May 10]
They seem to just be links, unfortunately. Can’t see a Software Catalog.

[May 10]
The items to the left are Help links. THere is a feature request with Jamf to identify the column but so far they have not changed it. You can only access software once you log in.

[May 10]
And what would those credentials be? Ian sent me a username and password, but I gathered that was more for administrative tasks.

Remember, please only download and instal software while on VPN at this point. We are resolving an issue with our SSL cert on the outside server to make it possible to access software when not on VPN.

[May 10]
Now im confused do general users need a User/Pass just to access the software catalog?

[May 10]
For a temporarly time there is a single one for testing. Once we get going you will use youre ENT username and password.

[May 10]
so users (for now) can only download software from self-service when connected to VPN... but can we clarify wheter or not they'll still need a user/pass over VPN? (Until ENT gets integrated)

[May 10]
I have the username and password.

[May 10]
Right now the username and password that Erik has will provide access to Self Service. We shoudl have ENT username and password working shortly. We are setting up SSO for self service. If it works like my Mac desktop does for everything else, You will need to log into one internal service once on VPN (enter your ENT credentials again) and then the rest of the GSA sites will work. VPN doesn't use SSO so your crednetials are not captured at that point.

SSO is broken for Self Service so we may have a limited rollout of applications when we go to production.
