Any way to speed up the program a bit? Tried proton and bottles and got errors about windows not being up to date. (installed using the default method) #391

I understand that this is running through wine and is a pretty beefy program with a database and such. Has anyone found a way to get it to run a bit smoother? I tried installing it through steam, running the application through steam (both trying to use proton experimental and GE with no luck). With both Bottles and Proton I kept getting the error of "windows not being up to date". I know my way around linux (arch in this case) but I won't pretend I'm an expert in anything in regards to linux (I know enough to break my install every so often, lol) Big thanks to the developers, it's so nice having the applications on my linux devices! |

Could you upload a short video showing the sluggish performance? Would help us understand how slow you're experiencing it. |

Hey there, I'll reply to this with a video in just a couple minutes, but a good example is when typing in notes. I'm a decently fast typer, I stay quite a few words ahead of what's shown on screen (with and without the hardware acceleration if that makes a difference). I'll take a video and try uploading it now. |

Performance on my machine is maybe 10% better. I've learned to live with it, but it's not ideal. Is your screen resolution 1920x1080? Or higher? Lowering the resolution should help. I've noticed their render thread seems to lag behind on wine. This is my machine for reference |

I’m on a framework which does have a strange resolution. No biggie at all it’s something I could learn to live with, you never know if you don’t ask. One day I’ll figure how to get it to work through proton. thank you very much for what you’ve done for this project, and for taking a look at my “issue”! |
