Defensics is not available for running in the FD.io CI due to it not having an open source free version/poilcy. LF Networking currently supports SonarQube Cloud which VPP does not currently utilize. However, VPP utilizes Coverity for static analysis.

How much additional coverage is provided by Defensics .vs. Coverity plus SonarQube Cloud. My understanding is that Defensics is very expensive so there will need to be hard data provided to TSC / LFN to demonstrate the ROI if the intention here is to raise a request to fund a license.
