Will the wildcard always be at the end of the data product string? #177

Good question. I've been assuming it will, but I guess there's no particular reason. For the time being I guess it's okay to assume it will, but in that case we should keep this open / on hold for the future?

It would be great to find out what the registry is capable of in that respect. At the moment my greps assume wildcards at the end of strings only.

I'm pretty certain the registry just sees * as a wildcard, so you can put it wherever you like - @alahiff may be able to comment though?

Yes, * can be anywhere.
