Describe the bug
I'm using Eventghost with MCE remote controls Kodi, and it works fine in win10 1909. but after I upgrade to 2004, the "Emulate keystrokes" function became buggy in kodi (still works fine at desktop), in kodi when I pressing 10 times it only works 2 to 3 times, the rest pressing just seems be ignored. no error report in log.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior, something like:

  1. use Emulate keystrokes to emulate any key. (my setting is {up} or {left})
  2. open kodi.
  3. press hotkey to fire Emulate keystrokes function.
  4. See error

Expected behavior
keystroke won't respond every time which it should be.

Slightly off-topic: Have you tried the XBMC2 plugin to control Kodi? it should be more reliable and has more control over Kodi.

are you using the Find Window action before the Send Keystrokes action??

If you are not then I would recommend you do that, This will ensure the keystrokes are being sent to Kodi and not whatever window is in the foreground.

@kdschlosser I've tried to find window first, but it didn't work, same problem. now I use XBMC2 plugin instead, it's work fine. thanks to @jonisb

Same problem for me.. Using directly kodi is a pita because I have to remap everything while regular keyboard works..
