Option for ingress-configured certs, eg. LetsEncrypt not supported or broken

For other services we have our ingress controller configured for LetsEncrypt. We would like to extend that for the ESGF service. The current setup either overrides this with a self-signed cert or requires an external keypair. Appears that support for LetsEncrypt, etc. was intended but unclear how to do this via values.yaml so if it does work, a proper example would be helpful.
