I'd like it if there was a module for image tracking. Image tracking are one of the most common types of AR experiences, along with plane detection.

No.
Unity added support for web to their XR SDK, so once we'll finish adding support to the XR SDK, we'll use it to add support for image tracking

The image tracking module is still on draft, and the only browser engine (chromium) that worked on it, has it on hold.

Also, no progress in this package regarding implementation of this module.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, getting the feeling the entire standards body are not taking AR in WebXR seriously :S

It's hard to agree on a standart, and they focus more on the dev community feedback.
So simpler options or things that the working group thinks are more in demand, advance first
