I am an Orgzly user. There's also Beorg for iPhones. It would be nice to see a comparison with those projects in the README.

I’m a heavy Emacs and org mode user. I also do use Beorg and donated to it multiple times, because I’m very happy to have a good option to run a true GTD workflow with it.

The important differences to me are:

  • org-web is OSS which is very much in the spirit of org whilst the other apps are proprietary
    • Besides, it’s not just about the “spirit”. Many people are using org and are happy to see development and I would suppose on the right stack (React is very reasonable here), would contribute.
    • Being OSS it’ll be around much longer.
    • There was/is MobileOrg, but I assume there is not much overlap of Emacs users and native app devs.
  • org-web is web based, so again, there is no lock in
  • Beorg has offline support

Correction: Orgzly is free software under GPL-3.0 - https://github.com/orgzly/orgzly-android
