Confusion On Installation/Configuration Process

I quite new to nvim, so please excuse any questions that may seem trivial!

I just installed this extension, and this is my current configuration:

This is all I have done. I am aware that I am also supposed to install some form of remote plugin for Neovim, but I am unsure how to do this. The docs in various places have different steps as to installation, and beyond what I have done for Lazy, I do not know what I need to do. It appears that commands like CopilotChat works, but others like CopilotChatInPlace are not commands. Even running :UpdateRemotePlugins doesn't work.

(I have checked #27, it doesn't help much, unfortunately)

Furthermore, on a tangent, my copilot chat simply looks like this:

As opposed to the demo:

Can somebody inform me as to how to configure Copilot Chat so that:

1. There isn't the seperator --- after every message
2. Instead of having **CopilotChat** for the title, it is # CopilotChat or something similar
3. Have the user messages titled with # User as well
4. Have syntax highlighting in the chat buffer

Sorry for the large amount of questions, this plugin will be very helpful in migrating from VSCode!

Hey @jellydn, thank you for such a speedy reply!

Your config is amazing. However, is there a way to remove the separator (and instead have roles like before), and maybe customize how the **CopilotChat** is displayed? I think the old UI looked cleaner, but I'm sure there's something beyond my knowledge that resulted in this change :)

@deathbeam What do you suggest for the separator instead of the default? The positioning makes it slightly awkward. Most likely I'm misunderstanding its purpose... sorry for inconveniencing you guys with so many questions 😅

Well its default value is --- e.g the triple dashes you are seeing there, but you can change it to something else. With current config options its not possible to replica the old ### user and ### Copilot but also if you had treesitter enabled then it would recolor the triple dash in nicer way same with CopilotChat.

Ah, I see, the problem was that I didn't install markdown_inline... one last thing though, any idea why trying to run CopilotChatInPlace returns "Invalid command"? (I'm on the latest version)

Yea CopilotChatInPlace does not exist on canary as that in the older python version only, but you can somewhat replicate with guide here: https://github.com/CopilotC-Nvim/CopilotChat.nvim/blob/canary/MIGRATION.md . But it basically just opens same chat but in floating window.

Oh, I guess I was reading outdated documentation at https://github.com/CopilotC-Nvim/CopilotChat.nvim/tree/main, it still says

A new command, CopilotChatInPlace has been introduced

I thought it was just not on my system yet for some reason 😅
