Happy New Year - a look forward

Hey folks,

First off, I hope you all had a wonderful break at the end of the year. I managed to take a trip with the family to Barcelona and unplugged for the majority of the trip.

With the new year here, let's look at what's on deck.

1. v8.0.5 - I've fixed all the bugs that have been reported with the exception of the Blazor WASM one (Client issue when targeting blazor wasm #174), which I'm inclined to punt until 9.0.0 (see reason below). If there are no further bugs reported this week, I suspect I can release 8.0.5 at the end of the week, despite a date towards the end of January.

2. v9.0.0 work needs to start. This is:

• An upgrade to .NET 9 and EF 9.0
• Addition of "per-platform integration tests" which will allow us to test things like Native AOT and the Blazor WASM bug.
• A few bug fixes that we deferred until 9.0 because they are easier there
• Addition of an OpenAPI provider for .NET 9
• Design updates to provide for custom Conflict Handling. (Design in progress)

I want to target end of February for the first release of 9.0.0. However, that's not a guarantee - it's more a stake in the ground to aim at.

Since there is only one of me, when I switch to 9.0.0, I will not be doing any more update to the 8.x branch. I'll branch the code before I start so I have an 8.x copy, but do not expect to do any more releases.
