Hi! :-)
I created a primary partition, formatted it FAT32 and boot to Cobalt CD for installing it there.
Installation completed successfully, but after the reboot, I just got an error message from Windows bootloader (something about winload.exe error 0X000000e and nothing could be started from my HD! :-)
I boot at Windows repair disk, issued the related BOOTREC commands for fixing the boot process and afterwards I reboot to Debian's installation disk -> Repair Mode and restored GRUB.
Question:
Now I can boot at Linux and Windows (as usual).
Cobalt is installed at a primary partition. Should I try booting it?
If so, which method do you recommend? From GRUB or from Windows boot manager?
TIA!
A.
EDIT:
I managed to add an entry to Windows BCD for Cobalt. Hurrah!!! :-)
This can be done either from command prompt or with (freeware for home users) Easy BCD.
Hint: 1) Add FreeDOS entry (autodetecting partition) 2) Rename to Cobalt and 3) Disable "Metro Mode", for not wasting time.
You may also want to change 30sec wait -> 5.
