Use curb instead of ethon

tl;dr Would you consider replacing Ethon by Curb (or maybe even by net-http)?

Working on upgrade of Rack in Fedora to version 3, I have faced some compatibility issue of Ethon with Rack 3 [1]. While this issue seems to be after all in Sinatra / Rackup [2], I am not sure about Ethon upstream healthiness. There is no response to my issue yet, but more importantly, I have hit this ticket [3] and there is essentially no activity recently [4].

Therefore, would you please consider replacing Ethon by Curb [5] (if relying on CURL is condition [6], otherwise I'd propose to stay with Ruby StdLib net-http).

I am asking this question not just because of Ethon upstream healthiness, but Ethon in Fedora is essentially used just by PCS, so this would allow Fedora to drop Ethon.

Hello @voxik, thank you for the suggestion. We started using curl across Python and Ruby because the standard libraries had issues with timeouts and were less reliable in some situations. We definitely want to stick with curl, one more good reason is its readiness for post-quantum cryptography which we already tested.

We'll look into Curb when the time allows.
