Hello @doughlass , thank you for your interest in the CircleCI Terraform provider. For now we are focusing on Terraform compatibility. Tests and compatibility with OpenTofu is on the roadmap. But we still have a long way before the provider is published in the OpenTofu Registry.

Hi @david-montano-circleci, any time/prior estimation for this? We'd really like to switch to the official provider too :) but this is a blocker for us :(

We are currently working on implementing import functionalities on every implemented resource.
Once that is done we will go back to OpenTofu integration.
A rough estimation would be first quarter 2026.

FYI, I've opened an issue to add this provider to the OpenTofu registry and it got approved. I'm using the provider from that registry already without issues.
