After the rules got released, we might look at Max Speed again.
For example, this one:
Max speed — {T}: Add {R} for each Goblin you control.

Is this just an Activated Ability with a restriction? And can it be used with Agatha's Soul Cauldron?
or is it a Static Ability that grants an Activated Ability?

🤔

Matt_Tabak on BlueSky said, while it is a static that grants this Ability, it seems more of a Characteristic Defining one?
Means it works in all zones. (Links will be added later)

@tool4ever that also means, for your Dependency Layer thing, it should apply to itself in Exile before Agatha's Soul Cauldron grants the Ability to your creatures.

Regarding the behavior of speed, shouldn't it be 1 when a player first has speed? Currently it stays at 0 until opponents loses life.

@tool4ever @Northmoc can you look at this? Start your Engine should set it to 1

You have 1 speed once a card with "Start Your Engines" is on the battlefield
The GUI just doesn't display it properly immediately
Checking into why

I think this might be a bigger issue where the player tooltip isn't always updating when it should
I just played Avishkar Raceway
Notice "Lands Played"
