Describe the bug
I just installed Slackware 15.0 and Lynis and when I ran Lynis for the first time as, lynis audit system in the ouput for the I/O Scheduler it gave me;

Checking default I/O kernel scheduler [ NOT FOUND ]

Version

  • Distribution Slackware 15.0
  • Lynis version 3.0.7

Expected behavior
Output should of said; Found

Output
If applicable, add output that you get from the tool or the related section of lynis.log

2022-03-09 17:36:27 Performing test ID KRNL-5730 (Checking disk I/O kernel scheduler)
2022-03-09 17:36:27 Test: Checking the default I/O kernel scheduler
2022-03-09 17:36:27 Result: no default I/O kernel scheduler found

Additional context
When I run 'cat' to the /sys path it shows my scheduler as BFQ.

~ pts/0 root ~ >cat /sys/block/sda/queue/scheduler
[bfq] none

I'm not running Slack and Lynis at the moment, I'll get back to you, when I run Lynis again, and if I see this later in the future.

THANKS

Ok I'm back, and I just installed 3.0.9 and it's the same thing.

[+] Kernel

  • Checking default run level [ 3 ]
  • Checking CPU support (NX/PAE)
CPU support: PAE and/or NoeXecute supported [ FOUND ]
  • Checking kernel version and release [ DONE ]
  • Checking kernel type [ DONE ]
  • Checking loaded kernel modules [ DONE ]
    Found 107 active modules
  • Checking Linux kernel configuration file [ FOUND ]
    - Checking default I/O kernel scheduler [ NOT FOUND ]

Heres's the output of the scheduler I'm using.

cat /sys/block/sda/queue/scheduler
[bfq] none

@0pLuS0 The current version of Lynis (3.0.9) doesn't have this fix. You need to clone Lynis from github:
https://github.com/CISOfy/Lynis
Then apply PR #1394 , and then install the patched Lynis.

Ok, no worries, when should this fix be released, in the next version?

THANKS
